Architect unveils designs to renovate and develop Appleton General public Library

APPLETON – Conceptual programs for the city’s new $26.4 million general public library show a curved, glass facade that is supposed to combine daylight and character into the creating.

The library, 225 N. Oneida St., also would attribute a kid’s garden, a rooftop terrace and a conference area for 400 people.

Task architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill of Chicago unveiled the options to renovate and increase on to the current library through a conference of the Library Board late Tuesday afternoon.
